MBS Sprint Meet: Saturday 10 January 2026
This is a targeted event on the MBS calendar, and we would like to see all MBS members participate. Held at the MBC Swimming Pool, this Sprint Meet offers only the 4x50m events (one of each stroke). It’s an excellent opportunity to refine race skills for the rest of the term, including school swimming competitions.

This prestigious event attracts the best open-water swimmers in Australia and international talent. Swimmers represent their club with pride while testing themselves against elite athletes. Strong performances can lead to team selection opportunities.

Canterbury Taipans Prep Meet: Saturday 14 February 2026
A friendly, supportive meet designed for swimmers aged 8 and older. Great for gaining race experience and achieving qualifying times for upcoming Brisbane and State Championships. A Championship event for our junior swimmers to test themselves against Brisbane’s best. We encourage all eligible MBS juniors to participate and experience a high-level racing environment.

National Prep & Jess Schipper Challenge: Saturday 14 - Sunday 15 March 2026
Two meets run concurrently:
- Jess Schipper Challenge: For swimmers aged 11–14 not attending Age Nationals.
- National Prep Meet: Final opportunity to achieve qualifying times for Nationals.

The premier national event for age group multi-class swimmers, held on the Gold Coast. A chance to compete against the best in Australia within each classification.

Open National Championships: Monday 6 - Wednesday 8 April 2026
One of Australia’s most prestigious swimming events, featuring the nations and world’s best swimmers. Swimmers compete for club and national pride, with team selection opportunities available. Qualifying times are required — early-season meets are essential to secure these.

The most prestigious national event for age-group swimmers in Australia. A week-long competition showcasing the country’s best young swimmers. Strong performances can lead to team selection. Qualifying times are required — early preparation through prior meets is vital.
